저는 사진을 주요 매체로 작업합니다. 사진은 촬영자의 감정과 사고가 잘 반영되는 매체이면서도, 여러 시간의 층위를 담고 있습니다. 모든 작품에 중심이 되는 개념은 ‘관념적 풍경’입니다. 이를 통해 과거 경험과 현재 자각이 동시에 중첩된 채로 대상을 바라볼 때, 우리는 대상을 보는 게 아니라 그 대상 위에 쌓인 정서적 잔상을 본다는 의견을 제시합니다. 이미지는 그 잔상이 실제로 존재했다는 것을 드러냅니다.
My primary medium is photography, a medium that carries not only the photographer's inner state but also the weight of multiple temporal layers. The central concept across all my work is conceptual landscape: the idea that when we look at a subject with past experience and present awareness simultaneously at work, we are not seeing the object itself, but the emotional residue layered upon it. The photograph does not merely document this; it makes the residue visible.
